Address Book

Manage Recipients

Overview

In the DocuPost Address Book, accessible via the left sidebar navigation, you have the ability to add single recipients and edit recipient data (for future mail that is sent).

Add Single Recipient

Access Address Book

Click Address book via the sidebar navigation. Once you're in the Address Book, click the + Add recipientbutton on the top right right side of the screen to add a recipient.

This will open a panel to the right where you can enter the recipient's details.

Complete Add New Recipient + Form

You need to provide the following required information: recipient name, address line 1, city, state, and zip code. Make sure that the state is entered as a two-letter abbreviation and the zip code is a five-digit code.

There are optional fields you can fill in as well. These include company name, address line 2, and an optional mailing list to associate the recipient with. Adding a company name and address line 2 can be helpful if you need to include more specific information.

To assign the recipient to a mailing list, select the desired mailing list from the dropdown menu in the Add recipient panel. If you don't want to assign the recipient to a mailing list, you can skip this step.

If you want to add more than a single recipient, view our manage mailing list guide to familiarize yourself with that process.

Editing Recipient Information

Edit Recipient Details

To edit recipient details, first navigate to your address book. Hover over the recipient in the table of the relevant mailing list. A modal will appear, allowing you to change details such as name, company, street address, city, state, and ZIP code.

You can also select a different mailing list for the recipient or update custom fields. Once you've made your changes, click Save changes to update the recipient's information, or Delete to remove the recipient from your address book.

Edit Custom Fields

In the Edit recipient sidebar, you will see custom fields. These are helpful for bulk mail purposes. To learn more about how you can use these fields as part of your bulk mail initiatives, view the CSV custom fields section within our guide on mailing lists.
